Set in an enviable position only yards from the sea, in the traditional fishing village of Beadnell. Equipped and furnished to a very good standard with an enclosed garden to the rear of the property, perfect for sunbathing or having a barbecue, making this an absolutely superb base for any holiday, with the vast beach and dunes of Beadnell bay to enjoy. Excellent for windsurfers, fishermen, walkers or birdwatchers, or for touring the magnificent heritage coastline with its countless castles, stately homes. Magical Holy Island with its fairytale castle and the Farne Islands to view the many seals, are a must. Boat trips from nearby Seahouses to the offshore Farne Islands, a wildlife sanctuary for puffins, oyster-catchers, kittywakes, guillemots and grey seals, the largest of 28 islands which form a nature reserve owned by the National Trust and, though half of them are submerged at high tide, landing is allowed daily in summer on the largest, Farne Island - where there is a nature trail, lighthouse and 14th century chapel. Alnwick is close by, boasting and enchanting castle (setting for Harry Potter) and contemporary water garden with cascading waterfalls and landscape grounds. A short walk to the beach with its rolling dunes and miles of uncrowded beaches. Short walk to 2 very welcoming pubs in village offering good food. Shops and pubs 4 miles.
