This tranquil destination offers superb accommodation with the accent on guest comfort and enjoyment. The Langdale and Eskhause adjoin the owner's home and each enjoys its own private garden area. Wetherlamb, a very pretty building with its own little patio, is adjacent and was originally the groom's quarters. All properties have been totally refurbished in a contemporary style with great attention to detail. There is excellent walking from the doorstep (including the Cumbrian Way close by) and mountain bikes are available if you haven't brought your own. Golf at discount rates on local courses (by arrangement with owner). The owners have stables and can offer a variety of trekking for all levels of ability and even bring your own horse on holiday (by prior arrangement). Easy access to Great Broughton 6 miles, Coniston, 12 miles, Windermere, 16 miles and Ulverston, 8 miles, means a range of activities are at hand. You can be as busy as you want at Crooked Birch, but you will enjoy returning to the comfort of your holiday home where a warm welcome is always assured. Shop and pub 3 miles.
