 Portworthy Cottage
Lee Moor,United Kingdom
A detached property ideal for those seeking a complete 'get away from it all' holiday, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The property features a large natural garden with wooded area, terraces and patio, set above a small stream. Being so close to the open moorland, sometimes wild deer can be seen in the garden, and just a short walk further down the lane and back onto the moorland, Dartmoor ponies and many sheep can be found grazing. An extremely quiet location, yet still close enough to a good-sized village for daily essentials, shopping and centrally placed within easy access to the A38 to explore the whole of the South Devon region or even further down into south Cornwall. The children will love the attic bedroom, a sort of 'den', a fun hidey-hole, twin bedded room. Lots of toys will also keep them entertained on days when you just don't want to leave the property. Cadover Bridge is a 10-minute drive. Set in the moors, Cadover features a large river, where in summer, it gets busy with families of all ages paddling in the water, having a picnic, playing cricket or just sunbathing and enjoying an ice cream. An excellent area for walking, access to the moorland is just a walk down the lane. Horse riding is available locally. Just a 5-minute drive you will find a great viewpoint at Wottor, with panoramic views across the countryside towards Plymouth Sound and the sea. Shops and pubs 3 miles.
Ground floor: Lounge with patio door to conservatory/dining room with ceramic tiled floor & French doors. First floor: Kitchen, 1 5ft double bedroom. Second floor: 2 bedrooms - 1 5ft double, 1 twin, bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet & basin.
