Beyond the village boundaries are woodlands and rolling fields leading in one direction to Ellesmere, famous for its numerous meres, where in the summer you can hire rowing boats and canoes ever popular with tourists, and in the other to mid and North Wales. Alternatively, Cheshire with Chester city centre is only a 25 minute drive, this really is a truly idyllic base. Shops 250 yards, pub 150 yards
