Turnstone Cottage is part thatched and is set in a rural, peaceful area of the New Forest National Park. The cottage itself offers a spacious, light and airy feel with two lovely woodburners, and boasts an enclosed garden. From here, you can wander out into the forest and walk for miles, exploring the peaceful woodland where wild ponies, deer and cattle roam. The popular towns of Brockenhurst and the yachting town of Lymington are both 6 miles away. Explore the surrounding area on foot, by car or bicycle, exploring some of the appealing villages. Visit gardens like beautiful Exbury and Fuzey. Hampshire was enjoyed by Jane Austin with her house and museum in Chawton, and her resting place in Winchester Cathedral. A visit to nearby Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Museum and Palace House is a must, whilst a short drive takes you to the picturesque riverside village at Bucklers Hard and Marwell Zoological Park. Further afield but well worth a trip is Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool. Sandy beaches at Highcliffe (8 miles), Hayling Island, Bournemouth and Sandbanks Poole. Shop and pub within 2 miles.
