Good base to explore the Lake District
Set just a short walk from the local shops and shoreline of this quiet village. This cottage makes a good centre from which to explore not only the AONBs around Silverdale, including nearby Leighton Moss Bird Sanctuary, but the whole of the Lake District being only 9 miles from Kendal. Alternatively the Dales are also readily accessible. For those who like to walk there are plenty of dedicated walks both easy and more strenuous. The den offers a pool table, ideal for wet weather entertainment. Shop 200 yards, pubs 400 yards.
