Carlisle, The Border City, is within easy reach, 20 minutes, and over Hadrian’s Wall takes you into Scotland. The cottages enjoy stunning views over Cumbrian countryside towards Skiddaw and the Lakeland fells. Set off from your doorstep and meander along the old disused railway line or the banks of the Little Waver, which runs through the farmland and includes three wildlife ponds.
