Blackthorn is attached to the owner's home and is situated on the edge of the village with a distant view of the sea, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside in an AONB. There is a private decked verandah, ideal for soaking up the ambience of this peaceful setting, and shared use of the owner's grounds. Guests can also enjoy use of the owner's heated indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. Ideally situated for exploring the Cinque Port of Rye and the quaint 'old town' area of Hastings, the impressive castle at Bodiam, and the historic abbey of Battle. This part of 1066 country is also well served for walkers with many way-marked and public footpaths, extensive bird reserves and a varied and interesting coastline. Owner's free range eggs are available, as is catering by arrangement. Farm shop 11/2 miles, pub 1/2 mile.
