Visit the Lime Kilns and Dunstanburgh Castle, (both NT), at opposite ends of the beach. A trip to the Farne Islands from nearby Seahouses to see the wild bird sanctuary is a must as is a visit over the causeway to Holy Island but mind the tide! Bamburgh with its beautiful castle is only a few minutes and pop into the Grace Darling museum while you're there. Visit Embleton Bay voted one of the most romantic bays in England, or Craster for its famous smoked kippers. Newcastle upon Tyne, a delight for shopping and the culture, only an hour away.
