The house has a large lawned garden and balcony, perfect for watching the sunset over the sea. The village of Mawgan Porth is halfway between Newquay and Padstow on Cornwall's dramatic north coast with its selection of excellent surfing beaches, surf school, cliff walks and Cornish Coastal Path. The area is well served with several golf clubs, such as Trevose, Constantine and Newquay all within 5 miles. Padstow is easily reached along the coast road. Fishing trips, boat trips and cycling along the Camel Trail are all available in this quaint fishing village made popular by TV Chef Rick Stein. Newquay's famous surfing beaches are within 3 miles. Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen (booking advisable) can be found at Watergate Bay just 2 miles away where there is also an extreme sports academy offering such activities as kite surfing, wind surfing and many other extreme sports. Ideally situated for visiting attractions such as the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Bodmin Moor. Truro, the Capital of Cornwall, is within 15 miles and provides shopping, a theatre, museum and restaurants. Bodmin, St Austell, Falmouth, St Ives, Penzance and Lands End are all easily reached; sea fishing and coarse fishing are also available locally. Shops 300 yards, pub 350 yards.
