Together with the cathedral town of Dunkeld they form a wonderful base to explore wonderful scenery and historic gems, and where Beatrix Potter drew inspiration for her characters. Swimming, fishing and golf are available close by. For hillwalkers there are several munros, while more relaxed walks can be enjoyed up Birnam Hill or to the Hermitage. The Loch of the Lowes is home to the rare Ospreys and a host of other wildlife, and there are excellent rail and road links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Shops and pubs within 250 yards.
