At the top of the lane (300 yards) is a renowned family pub serving good food and with excellent play area for children. The island is noted for its breathtaking seascapes and excellent scenic walks. The beaches are also renowned, over 30 miles of heritage coastline. The Needles is a fine example of rock formations in Freshwater and evidence of bygone times can be found in Carisbrooke Castle and many NT homes. Also discover beautiful gardens including Ventnor Botanical Gardens and the magnificent Osbourne House, Queen Victoria's favourite holiday abode. Ther are many stunning beaches coves and bays to discover, some within 15 minutes drive. Outdoor island pursuits include excellent scenic walking, cycling, riding, sailing, fishing, golf. Shops 1 mile, pub/restaurant 300 yards.
