 Ardchrishnish
Pennyghael, Isle of Mull,United Kingdom
In a remote location between Craignure and Iona, Ardchrishnish enjoys uninterrupted views of Loch Scridain. A traditional two storey holiday cottage, it has been lovingly renovated, retaining much of its original charm. Time seems to stand still on this idyllic island and the property is ideally located for exploring and visiting its attractions. The short ferry crossing to Iona to visit the famous Abbey is made from Fionnphort which is 81/2 miles away, whilst Tobermory with its colourful 18th century stone houses is approximately 40 miles. Wildlife can be seen in abundance, whales and dolphins can be spotted off the rugged coastland, as can otters and golden eagles. Duart Castle, ancient seat of the clan MacLean and Torosay Castle with its beautifully restored gardens are both well worth a visit, or head north to the delightful sandy beach of Calgary Bay. There is also fishing, golf, pony trekking and lots of wonderful walks. Shops, restaurant & pub 2 miles.
