Customer Reviews

The Eden Valley is a beautiful part of the country, the Lakes on one side and the Pennine Way on the other all stunning places. This cottage fits perfectly into the area. It has a character of its own, it's very old the floors are uneven, the walls aren't straight, there's nooks and crannies everywhere, it's quiet literally an adventure in itself. After a long day out you couldn't wish for a better place to relax than in front of the log burner in the enormous living room. There was everything you needed in the kitchen, the bedrooms were a delight, I wanted to stay in each one. There wasn't the time to fully indulge in the library and the paintings and pictures on the walls all demanded some attention. I could happily live there...
I'm sure there's things but I really can't think of anything that would make a massive difference.
"If you don't like old buildings then this isn't the place for you, personally I love them. I bashed my head a couple of times on low beams but I should have ducked. The pub in nearby Crosby Ravensworth, The Butcher's Arms is well worth a visit, I throughly enjoyed the guided walk around Appleby and I cannot add to what's already on record about the Lakes and Pennines so I won't try."

So much space, full of character, quirky, amazing history, lots of pots, pans etc., lovely fresh comfortable bed linen and beds, love the bath in the bedroom, books, books and more books ... brilliant, log burner and open fire .... so comforting and welcoming, ....... amazing views, such a beautiful setting, the village is unique, tranquil and relaxing ....... so lovely, wish I could live there ....... warm welcome, thank you ...Tam was cute !!!!!!!!

There was a group of seven of us, should have been eight, but illness preventing my daughter and Jerry the Springer being there, really sad, they would have loved it, Jerry would have been in his element all though the sheep may have ben a wee bit tempting !!!!!!!

We had lots of space and enjoyed every minute.

Thank you, would love to come again and again.
On first arriving we all felt a wee bit concerned at the appearance around the back of the farmhouse. The conservatory and back garden looked run down and uninviting. From inside the view from the conservatory was not good ..... old wash basin, weeds and disarray ....... but once established we loved the farmhouse so it didn't really matter.

The farmhouse has a real eclectic mix of furniture, pictures, ornaments, but again once established it was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay ......... thank you ....... hope to see you again soon.
"Just enjoy being in a unique property in a beautiful setting ........ and ........ take time to look at the stars, they are AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
