Discover the English canals from this 200-year-old detached cottage, which enjoys an elevated setting above the Grand Union Canal, set in the grounds of a working boatyard. Situated on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, Linslade adjoins Leighton Buzzard. Just 25 minutes' walk from Leighton Buzzard's town centre and swimming pool. Milton Keynes, (with its shopping and leisure facilities), Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo, all 15 minute drive. Explore the Chiltern Hills, and the Ridgeway Path, or the Tring Reservoirs and nature reserves. Historic houses and NT properties such as Ascot House, Woburn Abbey, Luton Hoo and the Ashridge Estate. Guests may bring canoes or a dinghy foc. A National Canoe licence or a British Waterways licence is required. Fishing permitted along the canal towpaths but not from within the boatyard. Day tickets for fishing are £3. Shops and pubs 15 minutes.
