A delightful 'olde worlde' 18th century cottage adjoining the owner's home in this pretty village within the Lake District National Park, just 2 miles from Grange-over-Sands which has a golf course and railway station. This character cottage has been tastefully decorated and furnished to provide an excellent base from which discover Southern Lakeland. Just a short drive away are many historic buildings such as Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle, whilst the charming village of Cartmel with its famous 12th century priory and the annual Cartmel Races is a walkable 3 miles. Visit Lake Windermere and see The Aquarium of the Lakes, the Beatrix Potter Exhibition, take a steamer trip, or simply wander along one of the many lakeside walks.
