There is sea fishing from the beach, with river fishing on the Thurne at Somerton (approximately 2 miles). Caister-on-Sea, 7miles, is a historic site, which has the remains of the Roman town and magnificent ruins of a 15th-century castle, in addition to an 18-hole golf course. Great Yarmouth, 9 miles, also has its share of history to discover. Shops, PO, and pubs within walking distance.
