 Lodge B
Foyers, by Loch Ness,United Kingdom
These traditional-style, semi-detached lodges are set within the colourful hillside grounds of the owners' charming Victorian guesthouse and enjoy tantalising glimpses of Loch Ness through the trees. They are set on the quieter side of these mysterious waters, well away from the modern day hustle and bustle, making a delightful base for relaxing or exploring the area. Nearby you can explore the delightful forest walks and nature trails around the spectacular Falls of Foyers, which tumble down through mature woodlands. There are plenty of places to visit locally, including Urquart Castle and the Monster Visitor Centre. Visit the fascinating Fort Augustus canal locks, which allow small craft to negotiate this transitional link of the Caledonian Canal as they make their way to the Atlantic side. At the north end of the loch is the atmospheric Culloden Battlefield (NTS) with its Visitor Centre, site of the very last battle between the Scots and English in 1746. Cawdor Castle, associated with Macbeth, makes another fascinating outing. Visit Aviemore, host to hordes of winter skiers, but no less attractive in summer, or take a nostalgic steam train ride to Boat of Garten.
Steps up to spacious verandah. Ground floor: Lounge/dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin, 1 small bunk with 3ft beds, bathroom with bath, shower & toilet.
