This lodge, all on one level with its own large garden, boasts some marvellous views across hills and countryside from its detached setting on a 500-acre working farm with beef cattle, free range poultry and a pony. A choice of amenities can be found at Stirling with its castle, theatre, museums and Wallace Monument making an interesting day out. Ideally situated on the edge of the forest-clad Trossachs and the new Loch Lomond National Park, Wester Borland Lodge is very conveniently located for enjoying some excellent sight-seeing. Visit Loch Lomond, Scotlands largest loch and enjoy a pleasure cruise from Balloch. The history and beauty of Edinburgh beckons. The medieval buildings of the old town and the Georgian architecture of the new town offer a dramatic contrast, whilst Glasgow, Scotland's second capital offers a magnificent mix of Victorian elegance and Art Nouveau, both are easily accessible and offer many art galleries, museums and excellent shopping so there is something for everyone. Two pubs (both with excellent food) and shop in Thornhill, 1½ miles.
