This oasis nestles on the edge of the bustling town of Braintree and the start of the surrounding attractive countryside and villages. With Constable country, Dedham Vale and Flatford all within half an hour's drive, this coach house provides a haven amidst many amenities. Furnished and decorated to a high standard providing a bright and airy holiday home using fresh colour schemes, the coach house adjoins another poperty and also enjoys a large koi pond, chickens, ducks and black swans gliding on the small lake, which offers fishing for carp and catfish - fishing tackle is available at a small charge. Only a 10-minute walk away is the famous Freeport designer outlet, with multiplex cinema, bowling alley and at least ten different restaurants to choose from. There is also a swimming-pool and golf club locally. Within half an hour's drive lie Stansted airport, Chelmsford and the historical town of Colchester, famous for its castle, zoo and old cobbled streets. The rugged, honey-coloured castle stands in attractive parkland and its museum contains the best of the region's Romano-British archaeological finds. Other attractions in the town include the Clock Museum, the impressive Roman Walls and the flamboyant Town Hall. Interesting and picturesque villages to visit locally include Coggeshall, Dedham, Long Melford, Clare, Finchingfield and Lavenham, which boasts an unrivalled ensemble of perfectly preserved half-timbered houses. For coastal lovers Maldon, Burnham-on-Crouch, Clacton, Harwich and Felixstowe all offer seaside attractions for all the family. Southend-on-Sea has a sandy beach, pier, Sea Life Centre, two amusement parks and the Marine Activity Centre which offers sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
