The village, with three public houses, is in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by numerous picturesque villages. Kersey, Sudbury, Hadleigh and Clare are close by, as well as the medieval wool towns of Lavenham and Long Melford. The Suffolk Heritage coast is within an hour's drive, Constable Country and the Dedham Vale are half an hour.
