Surrounded by lovely rural Devon countryside, Higher Poulston Farm has been converted into a wonderful complex of holiday cottages with facilities that families with children will enjoy. Situated close to a working dairy farm, Higher Poulston is set in 9 1/2 acres of grounds, close to Harbertonford just a few miles from the historic and vibrant town of Totnes.All the holiday cottages are very comfortable and welcoming. There are a whole host of activities to be enjoyed here. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, and a large lawn for relaxing, as well as approach golf, a hard tennis court and children's play area. Or why not spend a peaceful afternoon at the nearby fishing lake, which is well stocked with Carp. There are also three games rooms, with pool, toddlers' play area and table tennis, and indoor ball games room. Away from the farm there are many attractive places to explore, and a tourist information room on site will provide plenty of ideas.A mile away, the village of Harbertonford has a shop and post office, and Morleigh has a pub serving good food. The seaside is close at hand, with a beautiful shingle beach at Blackpool Sands and a long shingle beach at Slapton. Also within easy reach are the Torbay resorts, as well as the boating and sailing centre of Salcombe.You can visit Woodlands Fun Park, or the Dartmoor National Park, both 4 miles away, or Paignton Zoo 10 miles. The ancient town of Totnes is 3 miles, or enjoy a day out to Dartmouth, 8 miles, where you can play golf on an 18-hole championship course, take a cruise up the river, or take the ferry to Kingswear and ride on the steam train to Paignton.
