A unique holiday experience, this Grade II listed detached windmill stands within a large, enclosed garden featuring an outdoor heated swimming-pool. Refurbished to an excellent standard of holiday accommodation for discerning guests, it boasts much character with internal beams, character flooring, wood-burning stove and the former workings of the Old Mill. Comfortably furnished and very well equipped, it makes a superb venue for large families. The spacious kitchen/dining-room has an open fire and French doors leading to the patio terrace and garden. A split-level, beamed living room with original wooden floor is full of charm and character, with the old working mill grinding stones standing in the corner as a prominent feature. From here a doorway leads to the Old Mill, the ground floor of which is a formal dining room (seats 13) with stable doors leading to the garden, and a separate spiral staircase leading to a glass mezzanine walkway connecting to the first floor with bathroom and further sleeping accommodation of the main house, also accessed from main secondary staircase. Good walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the property, with access to a network of foot trails to Oxborough Hall (NT). The magnificent North Norfolk coastline has sandy beaches, while RSPB nature and bird reserves are an hour's drive away. Traditional market towns of Downham Market and Swaffham, the medieval town of Kings Lynn, and Ely are all within easy reach. Year-round places of interest and activities for all ages include Gooderstone Water Gardens, Boadicea's village, Icenie Brewery, Stowe Farm, Grimes Graves and Welney Nature Reserve, as well as Thetford Forest for Go Ape Adventure Playground and miles of woodland nature trails and cycle paths.
