Set on a small working farm where ducks, geese and chickens run freely, these former farm buildings have been converted to offer exellent comfortable accommodation. All part of the original 18/19th century farm buildings, they can be booked together to accommodate larger groups or family bookings. Each have level access, their own enclosed courtyard, as well as a shared courtyard and access to walk on the 5-acres of grounds. Watcombe Plain lies 2 miles distant and makes a lovely area for walks, sitting 220-metres above sea level with good views of the surrounding landscape, and on a clear day Glastonbury Mount to the north and Portland Bill to the south can be seen. Cerne Abbas - famous for its large chalk giant - as well as numerous tearooms serving delicious cream teas make for a lovely day out. Other places of interest to visit include Bridport, Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth, all within a short drive, along with the many chocolate box villages dotted along the coast. The county town of Dorchester is close by and is well known for its association with Thomas Hardy. Ideal walking and riding country, visitors may bring their own horses by arrangement.
