There are many attractions within easy reach including Glastonbury with its famous enchanting Glastonbury Tor and old abbey ruins; the cathedral city of Wells (one of the smallest in England) with its Bishops Palace and Cathedral; Clarks Factory Village at Street, and the famous Cheddar Gorge and Caves, or Wookey Hole. There are also many historic houses to enjoy such as Montacute, Tintinhull and Barrington Court to name but a few. Family attractions to visit include Yeovilton Air Museum and the Haynes Motor Museum, and for a day out, the World heritage city of Bath is a must. Longleat, Stourhead House and Gardens, and the popular south coast resorts of Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Bridport are all well worth a visit.
