Visit the fabulous Château of La Rochefoucauld and for a real treat, the tearoom serves homemade chocolate. Lavaud Lake is a paradise for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, and also has a beach. For a more gentle pursuit, there are boat trips from the nearby town of Angoulême.
