This property is set along a tributary of the River Charente, near the quaint little town of Chateauneuf. With its own private swimming pool, it is a comfortable house with a formal dining room overlooking the water, nicely decorated with all you need for a perfect holiday. The English owners live nearby and can help you to decide where to discover the best 'pineau' local aperitif, or from which distilleries to choose as well as the many restaurants along the river. You can take a trip on the river, canoe from St Simeux, or visit the old abbaye of Bassac which is impressive. The golf course at Cognac is less than 20 minutes drive away, as well as Angoulême with a huge lake and beach with all watersports available. There is also a water squad (motorbike on water) to have fun one day.
