These beautifully restored cottages are built of the local granite and enjoy far reaching views over the local bocage countryside. Each enjoys a private terrace from which to savour the view, and the gardens are well laid out with a shared, fenced swimming pool just a brief amble away. The local village of St. Michel-de-Montjoie has a friendly bar and shop, and a unique museum of granite, whilst a little further north is the larger town of Vire. Nor far from here is the golf course and lake of La Dathée, perfect for sports enthusiasts or a simple waterside picnic. For a day out, the seaside resort of Granville is only half an hour or so by car, and overlooks the bay where Mont St. Michel with its Benedictine monastery is a must for visitors. The old hill town of Coutances has on its summit a cathedral which is a mix of Gothic and Norman architecture and features a son et lumiere display on summer nights. A trip to Caen makes a great day out.
