Le Percheron and Le Poulain are situated in a peaceful, rural setting, on the edge of the historic Orne region. Prettily adorned with mature foliage, both cottages provide an ideal location from which to explore Orne and neighbouring Calvados. The nearby riverside town of Pont d'Ouilly is typically Norman, and is an ideal spot to enjoy a glass of wine at one of the local bars. The nearby historic towns of Flers with its lakeside château, and Falaise are a must-see for visitors to the region; Falaise is dominated by the remains of its 13th century keep. The vibrant city of Caen lies a little further afield and is well worth a visit for its historic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
