The nearby towns of St. Hermine and Luçon provide markets and top quality restaurants. A wealth of visits and day trips can be enjoyed nearby, including La Rochelle with its street cafés and superb aquarium, or the canals of Green Venice. The history theme park of Le Puy du Fou, Les Sables d'Olonne, Noirmoutier Island and l'Ile d'Yeux make excellent days out.
