From the French doors in the living room there is a south-facing terrace with stunning sea views and here guests will find the inviting, kidney-shaped swimming-pool (which is illuminated at night), together with sun beds. All four bedrooms have their own en-suite facilities and the master bedroom has its own sitting room with lovely sea views. In addition, the bathrooms are decorated with Italian ceramic tiles. Many of the attractions of the English Rivera are easily accessible and probably the most popular of them all is Dartmoor. A vast moorland expanse famous for its ponies and stunning scenery is just a 30-minute drive and is well worth the visit. Paignton Zoo and The Living Coast Aviary will keep children and adults alike entertained for hours. The coast is never far away and the sandy beach at Torquay is only ½ mile away and was once quoted as `the loveliest sea village in England' by the poet Lord Tennyson. This is apparent everywhere with palm trees and other subtropical plants that flourish in the mild climate. Sandy beaches and clear waters are perfect for bathing, and there are boat trips to the Channel Islands that leave from the harbour at regular intervals.
