Set within 25 acres of its own private land including paddocks, and not far from the road, it has its own private entrance which really makes this a place of tranquility and a fantastic isolated location. Valley Lodge is situated a mere 5 minutes away from Exmoor National Park. The stunning valley views are magnificent, pheasants and other birds are plentiful, and dramatic country walks can be taken from the doorstep. Minehead with its sandy beaches, and Dunster with its quaint village and spectacular castle, are just 20 minutes away. The Grand Western Canal and Bickleigh Castle are close by. The cathedral city of Exeter for shops, restaurants, theatre and racecourse, is approximately 20 miles. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the Tarka Trail which stretches from Dartmoor to Exmoor. Further afield there are numerous beaches that are wonderful for surfers and sunbathers alike. For those wanting a more cultural experience, the area has an abundance of National Trust properties such as Knightshayes Court, Powderham Castle, Killerton and Castle Drogo. Fishing is available locally, whilst lovely local pubs and restaurants are on the doorstep, with two fabulous inns on the banks of the River Exe itself.
