Snowdrop Cottage is a pretty thatched cottage in the heart of Roborough village. Formerly the old post office, it adjoins the owner's home, and has been sympathetically restored. The Victorian market town of South Molton (`gateway' to the soft and beautiful landscapes of Exmoor National Park) can be visited, and Great Torrington town is of historic interest. Instow on the Taw Estuary (10 miles) has a large sandy beach backed by dunes, ideal for water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and sea fishing. The scenic Tarka Trail takes in the delights of the inland countryside and stunning estuary, offering miles of cycle and footpaths. There is also the Tarka Line Railway. Hartland Point with towering cliffs and jagged rocks contrasts with picturesque fishing villages such as Clovelly, offering timeless charm preserved by traffic-free narrow cobbled streets.
