This superb conversion of an 18th-century stables and coach house has been designed with the living rooms on the first floor, to take full advantage of stunning long-distance views of the North Devon coastline out to Lundy Island and beyond to the Atlantic Ocean. A large balcony opens from the spacious kitchen/dining-room , where visitors can relax and enjoy some magnificent sunsets. Completed to a very high specification, the house is very comfortable, with beamed ceilings and wood-burning stove. Providing amusement for the whole family, there is a games room for visitors' use, and a large, secluded garden, complete with children's play area. Visitors are free to try their hand at fun fishing for trout and to explore the surrounding 50 acres of woodland and pasture (with sheep and horses). This is a wonderful location for a holiday, with a private, 35 minute walk to a secluded pebble and sand beach, and the spectacular south west coastal path, where a chain of magnificent cliffs stretches along the Heritage Coast to Hartland Point. The charming village of Clovelly, just 6 miles away, is one of Britain's showpieces, with whitewashed houses tumbling down to a little harbour. The Milky Way and North Devon Bird of Prey Centre can be found here. Other local attractions iclude RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington crystal and The Big Sheep. Westward Ho! (4 miles) has a sandy surfing beach, and there is sailing, water-skiing, golf and riding locally. Pub 1¼ miles.
