Converted from former coach house and stable buildings and providing a very high standard of holiday accommodation, this fine detached house also features use of an outdoor swimming-pool and hard tennis court. Set close to the owners' home in a lovely village location, where two welcoming pubs serve good food, golf enthusiasts will enjoy a day at the excellent golf course to be found just a mile away (also with restaurant). To make the stay even more memorable and stress-free, a baby-sitter can be called upon and mid-week cleaning can be provided. The South Hams area is well noted for its mild climate, and many wonderful beaches are within easy reach for a perfect family day out. Pretty Dartmouth, with its castle and unspoilt stretch of waterfront is 8 miles distant, and it is here that a sense of the past can be felt by walking along the cobbles of charming Bayards Cove, where elegant houses edge the waterfront. The medieval town of Totnes is just 5 miles away and the spirit of the past is re-enacted weekly in the form of an Elizabethan market during summer months. From here boat trips from the quay can be made to Dartmouth. Nearby Salcombe and Kingsbridge are also worthy of a visit. Not to be missed either are the many walks across Dartmoor's tors, from which breathtaking views of the wild landscape can be seen before heading for one of the many tearooms serving traditional Devonshire fayre.
