The clean Beckfoot sands, beside `Yellow Flag' beaches, offer rock pools, sea angling, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing and swimming, as well as an abundance of bird life and glorious sunsets to enjoy. Behind the house quiet lanes wind through the Solway Plain and offer excellent cycle routes. Just 2˝ miles down the road is a modern leisure centre, with indoor swimming-pool, spa, sauna, gym, tennis, shop and café. Five 18-hole golf courses are nearby - Silloth's is in the `Top 50' and is a championship qualifying course.
