For those who have always dreamed of stepping back in time and being lord and lady of the manor - then Woodhill Hall fits the bill perfectly. A detached (E.T.B. `5 Star') 300-year-old country house, Woodhill is set in the heart of rural Northumberland and offers exceptional accommodation for families or larger group holidays. A tree-lined avenue reveals glimpses of the stunning property, which nestles on a 100-acre estate. The grounds have everything one would expect from a property such as walled gardens, woodland walks, fields and much, much more. Additionally, Woodhill also boasts such facilities as a sauna, children's play area, pets corner (with a nanny and billy goat, as well as hens which guests are welcome to feed), nature trail and space for playing sports. Woodhill has all modern facilities and all of the rooms are beautifully decorated, and each has its own story to tell. The oak carved door leads to the snug living room with cosy sofas and period fireplace. The old hall, with its sweeping staircase, ornate fireplace and chandeliers gives a feeling of grandeur and elegance. The drawing room with its antique furniture, heavy drapes and open fire. The dining-room with polished table, beautiful paintings and a wonderful narwhales horn - a souvenir from the famous Victorian explorer and naturalist, Abel Chapman. The kitchen is spacious with Aga and electric oven and if required, the friendly owners can even arrange cooked meals, from buffets to Greek Mezes. There are five double bedrooms, a twin-bedded room and further downstairs triple-bedded room with beautiful bathrooms - one with cast iron roll-top bath, shower room and a separate W.C. The new garden wing in the courtyard accommodates seven people with en-suite bathrooms. The owners can arrange many activities including, clay pigeon shooting, quad bike safaris, falconry, fly fishing (and instruction), murder mystery evenings, water sports (Kielder Water), cycle hire and golf. Woodhill is superbly situated for exploring the surrounding area with Kielder Forest, the Scottish Borders, Alnwick Castle and Garden, the Nothumberland coastline and Hadrian's Wall, all within easy access. Woodhill Hall is available for wedding receptions and civil wedding ceremonies for up to 100 guests (no minimum numbers for weekend weddings). It is a unique venue offering flexibility and affordability for small stylish weddings by prior arrangement with the owner.

Further kitchen with sink, electric oven, tumble dryer, washing machine, freezer, dishwasher and icemaker. The Rose room: Twin-bedded room with additional pull-out bed (for +1), TV, DVD, open fire, wooden floor and lovely views over garden. First floor: The Colonel's room: Double bedroom with 5ft four-poster bed, open fire, panelling, TV, sitting area with sofa-bed (for +2), and views to Simonside Hills. Bathroom with slipper bath and shower attachment. Abel's room: Double bedroom with 5ft four-poster bed, open fire, flatscreen TV, DVD, sitting area with views to river. Two steps down to shower room/W.C. Bridie's room: Double bedroom with 5ft bed, rugs on wooden floor, flatscreen TV. Lucy's room: Double bedroom with 5ft bed, TV. Bathroom with roll-top bath, shower attached, adjacent to Lucy's and Athena's rooms. Athena's room: Double bedroom with 5ft bed, TV. Tom's room: Twin-bedded room with TV. Garden Wing accessed via the courtyard. One step up to hall with oak floor. The Garden room: Colonial-style room with double doors to walled garden, oak floor, flatscreen TV, DVD, tea and coffee making facilities, twin beds, and en-suite wet room suitable for use by people with limited mobility. Sitting area. Holly's room: Twin-bedded room with flatscreen TV, DVD, tea and coffee making facilities, and en-suite wet room with shower with body jets. First floor: The Darcy room: Double bedroom with 6ft bed, additional single bed (for +1), sitting area, arched window overlooking walled garden, TV, DVD, tea and coffee making facilities, and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi (for two) with radio, shower.
