Foxcote Farmhouse is a substantial and welcoming, detached holiday property, 4½ miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. It is built of Cotswold stone and thought to date from 1700. There is a large, walled, formal garden and terrace at the rear and access to the property is via the gravelled front courtyard, surrounded by a typical Cotswold stone barn and converted Granary which houses the farm's office. The location is approximately 200 yards from the Glos/Oxon County boundary and the Oxfordshire Way runs through the middle of Foxcote Farm which borders the River Evenlode. The area benefits from a number of well reputed pubs and restaurants, one of which is within walking distance. All of the attractions of the Cotswolds are close at hand, and Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford are easily accessible. There is an excellent rail service to London Paddington or to Hereford if a change of scenery is desired. The farmhouse is warm and comfortable with many original features including a large kitchen and a snug room. The living room has a very effective open fire and all rooms have been furnished in a cosy and traditional way. The nationally renowned Daylesford organic store is 2 miles away. Pub ½ mile.
