Equidistant is the medieval market town of Evesham, hosting an array of shops, restaurants and pubs. The popular regency Spa town of Cheltenham (15 miles) offers museums, art galleries, the Pittville Pump Room and, of course, the famous Cheltenham Races. Stratford-upon-Avon is just 15 miles away, and is world-famous as the birthplace of Shakespeare. The many attractions associated with the bard include the Birthplace Museum, the three Royal Shakespeare Company theatres, his burial place and many houses belonging to various members of his family. Gloucester is within easy driving distance, and is dominated by its superb cathedral, founded in the 11th century.
