An interesting day trip leads to Battle, the site for the most famous land battle in British history. Battle Abbey dominates the town and offers audio-visual tours on the battle itself. A ten minute drive from Battle leads to Hastings, a popular seaside resort with many attractions that are sure to keep everyone entertained and amused.
