Situated in the heart of the lively yachting mecca town of Lymington, and on the edge of the New Forest, Riverside is a stunning detached property finished to the highest standard, with an `upside-down' format to capitalise on the wonderful direct views over the river, the green and the Isle of Wight beyond. Great walking exists from the doorstep, along the Solent Way, exploring the local coastline, historic salt marshes and nature reserves. There is a unique sea water open swimming-pool very close, and and beautiful sandy beaches within just a few miles. The property lies within easy reach of Beaulieu Motor Museum, and there are excellent bus services including transport for bikes in summer. Outside the house to the front there is a large green with pond, bandstand and great children's play area. Beyond this is the river, where it is quite easy to pass an hour or two watching the boats or maybe trying a bit of crabbing. To the far side of the green is a large slipway, where there is always something to see as dinghies and small boats are launched and recovered all day long. The local RNLI station is also situated here, which brings a bit of action once in a while to an otherwised relaxed and laid-back feel. After all this excitement, there's always the possibility of relaxing with a drink in the Mayflower pub next door. Large rear gardens, great food, good service and an outdoor children's play area ensure this is always a pretty popular place.
