Commanding magnificent views over the sea, this detached Grade II listed period house is only a short walk from Ryde, the largest town on the island. The house stands alone and imparts a light and airy feeling, with its high ceilings and large windows. Along the Esplanade, plenty of local attractions are to be found, appealing to a wide range of ages. Ten pin bowling combines with an ice rink, children's play area, marina bowling and `pay as you play' golf to provide a host of activities and Ryde Pier, nearly half a mile in length, is one of the oldest and longest piers in the country. A high speed catamaran operates between Portsmouth and the pier head. Six miles of glorious sandy beach greet the beach-lover, and there are plenty of local pubs, restaurants and shops to cater for those who just wish to relax near Ryde and not venture too far from the holiday home. Further afield are the many sight seeing opportunities, walks and attractions to be found on the island. Pub 100 yards. The basemant flat is occassionally used by owners for caretaking purposes.
