Bon Accueil provides family gatherings or groups of friends with a perfect rendezvous throughout the year for holidays or special occasions. Runner-up in the English Excellence in Tourism Awards 2007 and Heart of England winner in 2006, this tastefully modernised Georgian country house sleeps 10 people with self-contained accommodation in an adjacent converted coach house for an additional 4 guests. Both properties are joined across a courtyard by a superb indoor heated swimming-pool with spa and swim-jets - open all year from noon until 6pm (flexible) for the sole use of guests. Within the adjoining paddock there is a small football pitch, a trampoline and children's playground with tower, swings, jouster and slide. The main house boasts a roof terrace, ideal for private sunbathing, oak floor and open fireplace in the living room, a sauna room and a dining-room which can seat 14 people. Table football and table tennis are also provided. The coach house has full underfloor heating and its own living room, kitchen/dining-room and garden. Peacefully situated within its own 5-acre grounds but only 1 mile from historic Whitchurch, Bon Accueil provides an excellent base for shopping, dining, cycling, walking, fishing, visiting Ironbridge World Heritage Site, Chester, Shrewsbury or exploring the Welsh Marches or Shropshire Lakes - all approximately half an hour's drive away. Castles, gardens and Roman artefacts are in plentiful supply and for golfers, Whitchurch boasts two 18-hole courses with others at nearby Hawkstone Park and Carden Park. The wooded valleys, mosses and meres (SSSIs) offer abundant wildlife in the immediate vicinity providing rich rewards for walkers and bird-watchers.
