Church Stretton is nearby - famous for the Long Mynd and glider centre, and Much Wenlock is a quaint town with many unique shops. Craven Arms with its secret Hills Discovery Centre offers plenty of opportunities to explore, not to mention Bridgenorth and Ironbridge. Golf, horseracing, riding, walking and fishing are all available at Ludlow. Wales is easily accessible in under an hour and the Herefordshire Black and White Trail would make for a lovely scenic day trip.
