It lies close to parks and gardens, and is a few minutes' walk from Holy Trinity church, site of Shakespeare's tomb. For Shakespeare enthusiasts, there are five restored properties associated with the Bard in and around the town, and other places of interest include a Butterfly Farm. Most of Stratford's historic buildings, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the main shopping area are within a 10-minute walk, and there is a selection of good restaurants. Splendid Warwick castle is well worth visiting and College Mews makes a good base for exploring the Cotswolds, Worcester and Cheltenham. Pub 200 yards.
