Standing detached within the grounds of Chirk Castle (NT), this single-storey cottage was once the summer house for the Myddelton family, who lived in the castle. Boasting a large garden and orchard, with outstanding views of the Ceiriog Valley, Offa's Dyke also runs through the property. Nearby Chirk village offers an 18-hole golf course and fishing can be enjoyed on the rivers Dee and Ceiriog and from Chirk Castle Lake. Llangollen (5 miles) hosts the International Eisteddfodd in July, and is also home to the famous steam railway.
