There is a mill stream just 5 metres from the detached property, with a working mill wheel which can be viewed from an internal window in the kitchen. Within easy driving distance, the landscape varies from wild cliffs and hills to lonely moorland and remote beaches. Enjoy a round or two of golf on the excellent courses nearby. There is a quiet 9-hole course at Bonar Bridge 3/4 mile away, and the excellent links course the famous Royal Dornoch golf club, 20 minutes drive away. Try pony trekking, river and loch fishing for salmon and trout, explore numerous castle ruins and ancient monuments, or just enjoy walking and touring the Highlands. Travel north to visit John O'Groats and the Orkney Islands. The Highland Capital of Inverness is approximately 3/4 of an hour's drive away, and Dunrobin Castle, once seat of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland, 25 miles, has a distinct French influence, and makes for an interesting day out.
