Customer Reviews

14th May 2011
The location is spectacular and the cottage lovely and welcoming.

The wine, milk and fresh flowers were a lovely touch.

Facilities are all you would expect/need with 2 lovely bedrooms and the diningroom is gorgeous.

Views, walks and gardens lovely. Fabulous for dog walking with cliff top walks and stunning scenery.
A landline is essential, even if it is a pay phone. If you were ill or have any difficulties then the mobile signal is intermittant and you are some miles from civilization.

The television was a challenge (not that we needed it).
"We were a group of 4 aged late 40s/early 50s plus Oscar the dog.
If you are going out at night then ensure you put the outside light on before you go, or take a torch! Finding the keyhole with zero light was a challenge.
You are in an exposed area so make sure you pack something warm whatever the time of year.
Remember to take provisions with you as you are a few miles from the nearest shops.
The unmade road is very rough so low vehicles could struggle with the terrain. We were in a Seat Leon and we just about cleared it.
Don't be put off though. We thought this place was fabulous and I have already recommended it to friends. A great retreat."
