The area is a haven for wildlife. Trips to the romantic Summer Isles are a must, where dolphins and porpoises are regularly spotted, as well as seals, otters and a variety of birdlife. The fascinating local Hydroponicum can be visited, where exotic plants, fruit and vegetables are cultivated. Achiltibuie Smokehouse offers the opportunity to see traditional smoking methods carried out. Fresh seafood, including lobster, is available locally. There is a wealth of superb fishing - the unspoilt hill lochs can be visited, or some deep sea fishing as well as river fishing for trout and salmon can be tried. Sea kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, hill walking and golf at nearby Ullapool are all enjoyed in the area. There is also the chance to charter a small boat with a professional diver (Padi qualified). The area is renowned for its unspoilt coastline, hiking trails and mountain climbs in a truly unsurpassed region of the Highlands, and the property is ideally located for exploring the North, West and East coasts of the Highlands.
