Curlew Cottage

Port Henderson, Gairloch, Ross-shire.,United Kingdom

Perched above the pretty hamlet of Port Henderson and set in its own grounds, Curlew Cottage offers uninterrupted views across the sea to the Outer Hebrides beyond. This traditional cottage enjoys a picturesque setting in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the West Highlands. There is a great variety of wildlife: otters, sea and golden eagles, seals as well as many species of sea-birds. The sweeping sandy bay at Opinan is just ½ mile away, and sea-fishing from the rocks just a short walk from the cottage. Loch and river fishing are also readily accessible (permits available locally). Boat trips, including whale watching, are available from Gairloch. The renowned sub-tropical gardens at Inverewe, Eilean Donan Castle and the Ben Eighe Nature Reserve in the heart of the Torridon mountains are all a short drive away.
